She looked at Nocturne's new owl and smiled softly, knowing better than to get any closer to it than she was already. "He's adorable," she agreed, putting her hands in her emerald green robe-pockets.

Nocturne grinned, putting a finger through the bars to stroke the small owl. she looked to Saren, "Why did the animals in the shop not like you? have you been in there before?" she asked, hoping that she hadn't hit a 'sore spot'.

Hope as Nocturne might, she did hit a sore spot and Saren had to think very quickly to get things together. "Ah...I 'aven't been in there a'fore...I'm no' very goo' wi' pets, really. They prolly did'na li'e me 'cause I smell li'e Irish Setter- which is Liam's animagus...Irish Setters are 'untin' 'ogs tha' go af'er a lo' of diff'rent prey."

Nocturne noticed the various paused in Saren's explanation, but grinned, "Well, at least you won't have to waste money on an animal." She said, smiling, "but if you ever want to send a letter, you can use my owl... what do you think I should name him?"

She smiled, glad that she hadn't asked any further questions. Actually, Sarentegra could use to spend more money, but she wouldn't let Nocturne know that. "Alrigh', thanks. Hmm...something creative- try puttin' le'ers to'ge'er, she suggested. It was actually how her parents came up with her name.

Nocturne raised an eyebrow in thought, "Um... I dunno..." she said slowly, before chuckling, "How about Grey?" she suggested with an amused head-shake, knowing it wasn't a very good name.

"No...reminds me too much o' Greyback- 'e's a vicious werewolf tha' really doesn't li'e any'un but 'imself..." she said with a shudder. Greyback and she were...at ends. He 'fancied' her- or as well as a male dog can fancy a female canine, but Sarentegra despised him.

Nocturne's eyes widened, "Werewolves are real?" she asked, having only ever heard of them in books, "Are they evil?" she added with a raised eyebrow, "Or are they just like witches and wizards."

Oh boy, was this an awkward subject. Clearing her mind, she nodded. "Aye, they're real. A lo' o' them are evil 'cause people mistrea' them. O'ers are confused an' some...they're alrigh' typically. O'course...a werewolf can'na control themselves when th' Moon is full- the beas' in them errupts an' takes o'er," she replied softly.

Nocturne looked to the ground in thought, "Do you think it'd be cool to be a werewolf?" she asked, unaware of the topic's awkwardness, "I think it would, I bet it would hurt though, transforming into a wolf... probably more than metamorphosing." She said, thinking out loud.

Oh God... she thought to herself, struggling to keep exasperation from her face. "I...I don't think it woul' b' 'ool 'cause o' th' pain. I've it bad enough as i' is wit' figh's an' all," she murmured.

Nocturne looked to her curiously, "Yeah, I guess so." she said simply, before looking around. "so, where do you wanna go now?" She asked, deciding to change the subject, unsure of the reason why.

Saren was quite relieved that Nocturne jumped from the subject: it was just about how Seth and his lads had figured out that she was a werewolf two terms ago- by questioning, wheedling, and holding her hostage in the broom closet right after a practice- so it was very smelly- until she caved. "Well, d'you have your books?"

Nocturne nodded, indicating a heavy bag held tightly in her right hand, her left being occupied by the small cage and her robes. "I think I have everything..." she said, mentally ticking off what she had, using what she remembered of the list, "So do you need to go anywhere?"

Saren nodded sheepishly. "I nee' t' get m' books an' some 'otion ingrediants. You don'na 'ave to go wit' me if ye don'na want to, bu' I wouldn' min' th' company," she said with a shrug.

((muse? sorry if I seem abit thick... lol))
Nocturne grinned, "I'll come, I don't need to do anything and would rather be with a friend than alone anyday." she said, adjusting the various supplies in her arm, and trying to close her ears to the shrill twittering of the minute owl.

ooc:// A person's inspiration- anyone who works in the creative arts has one even if they don't know it...it's the thing that keeps a person writing
She smiled and thanked her before walking off with Nocturne close by to the apothecary's ((sp??)), picking up her supplies for potions and slipping the new bag next to the others- Sarentegra was obviously used to shopping in bulk.

((Oh... um, thanks ^^))
Nocturne followed, observing curiously, glancing at various potion ingredients. She felt herself pale and felt the pain that meant her hair had changed, when she saw a jar of eyeballs. She put a hand over her mouth as she turned away, startled to see her reflection in the window; her hair was a horrible green colour. She grimaced, forcing it to change to a light brown colour with lighter tips.

Sarentegra was used to seeing very odd potion ingrediants such as serpent lung, rat eyes, sheep liver, and the like around her house- the Imura family was best in Transfiguration and Potions, so they kept a lot of things needed for such subjects lying around just in case. Seeing Nocturne's reaction to these typical things, she smiled softly and touched her shoulder lightly. "Be'er get used to i', lass- Potion's'll be 'ell f'r ye if ye don'," Saren advised.

Nocturne nodded, "I know..." She said slowly, before catching sight of something that looked like some kind of dead animal she turned away, "But its still gross." She added, fixedly staring away from all of the odd ingredients.

"Eh...it grows on ye," she said with a soft chuckle, her eyes dancing as she added more to her selection. Once done, she purchased them and added that bag to the rest of hers. "Alrigh'...now t' ge' m' books."

Nocturne smiled, exiting the shop as quickly as she could, waiting for Saren outside. She shuddered, looking into the shop window; how wizards and witches could use such horrible ingredients for potions was beyond her. She shuddered again, vowing never to go back in that shop.

Sarentegra didn't exactly think of the items as horrible, having been around them all ofher life. But seeing it from an inexperianced witch's point of view, she supposed it might be a little bit unnerving to Nocturne. "Alrigh'...books!" she said with a soft laugh and went next door into the book store, gathering up the tomes she needed as quickly as possible.

Nocturne followed, occasionally picking up a book and flipping through the pages. She stopped at a book about transfiguration, and read through various transformative ((is that even a word??)) spells. She carefully put it down before watching various shoppers, finding it somewhat incredible how wizards and witches lived the same way as muggles, despite the fact that they have various magical spells.

ooc:/// I dunno...lol. Let's just say that it is now.
About those muggle-life wizards...Saren didn't like them too much and thought that they were foolish, but only because she really couldn't see why anyone would want to possibly live like...muggles. Ugh. Any of those that she found she usually ignored or rebuked, often getting into fights. Purchasing her books, she looked at Nocturne. "Anything ye wanna buy?"

Nocturne shook her head, "Nah, I don't have any enough money anyway." She said moving the owl's cage to her other hand, and pulling a few sickles out of her pocket with a grimace. She returned them to her pocket and held the owl's cage firmly with a grin, "So, what now?" She asked, looking out through the shop window.

She chuckled good-naturedly and nodded, she herself having enough reading material in her trunk to last her a good long while. "I s'pose to the train," she murmured, not having anything else to do. "Unless ye'd li'e t' get something t' eat, my treat," Sarentegra proposed, gray eyes dancing- Diagon Alley had the best food.

Nocturne shook her head, blushing, literally to the tips of her hair, when her stomach rumbled. "If you want to, but you don't have to pay for me, I can always go to my vault and see how much more money I have.." She said, pretending to admire a few strands of her, now plum, hair.

She shook her head stubbornly. "Nonsense- ye've pu' up wi' me longer'n m' own bro'er while shopping...y' deserve it, Nocturne," she insisted, putting her hands on the other girl's shoulders and steering her towards the strip of eateries.

Nocturne let the older girl lead her, "But I'm fine, you really don't have to pay, we can just nip to my vault, I'll use my own money." She argued, having rarely accepted charity in the past.
