THIS POST IS AN EXAMPLE! THIS TEACHER NO LONGER IS ACTIVE AND I HAVE DECIDED TO USE THIS AS AN EXAMPLE BECAUSE IT IS EXCELLENT AND A PERFECT EXAMPLE! MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS ESPECIALLY IF YOU WISH TO BECOME A TEACHER!
Welcome class! Today we will be going over the basic guidelines and what we will be learning today. First, “Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned."
For this class you will need A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch. You will also need to bring in the following items everyday unless I say so:
1) Pencil and pen
2) Notebook for your homework assignments to be copied into
3) Notebook for notes
4) Journal for homework
5) Wand
Now, who can define what Transfiguration is?
Everyone please copy this definition down into your notes notebook: Transfiguration is magic which changes one object into another. It is possible to change inanimate objects into animate ones and vice versa. Some Transfiguration spells alter a part of something, such as changing a person's ears from normal into rabbit ears. In ancient times, Circe, a witch who lived in the Greek island of Aeaea, was famous for turning lost sailors into pigs.
Now these are the rules, please copy them down:
1) What I say is law.
2) Never forget rule number 1.
Now the laws which you must copy down as well:
1) No goofing off during class.
2) No talking unless I allow you to.
3) No calling out.
4) You MUST, and I stress MUST, turn in your homework on time or I’ll take 5 house points from your house.
All homework assignments will be due on Friday, but you will get several during the week. This week, though, I’ll be nice and give you only one assignment. Copy down the assignment:
Write a well-developed 2 to 5-paragraph essay on who you are. Include your full name, family, birthday, hobbies, interests, and anything else you think you‘ll need. You will be graded on your syntax (sentence structure), vocabulary, and how well you describe everything. You may do this in first- or third-person. It made be in story form or personal form. The essay is due Friday. OOC: Please do the essay about your character, not yourself in real life. Thank you(Back ICC.)
When you hand in your homework assignment, you will hand in the entire notebook. The notebook will be kept clean and intact. You may print or use cursive, it just must be legible.
Good-bye class. You are dismissed.
PS-All homework should be posted here AND sent to me in a PM. Five house points off if you don’t do this. You have two free passes, the third time I get strict.
