Lesson 1:
Welcome students. Magic, as I'm sure you know, can be a wonderful thing. Most of your classes’ show you how to utilize it to you benefit, but this power can also be a horrible curse. You will one day come across a wizard who is using magic irresponsibly. What will you do?
You are here to learn the basic ways to protect yourself. That does not permit you to use it on anyone at anytime! You must first learn how to respect magic, yourself and your opponent.
Things you will need to achieve this:
-Your wand
-Parchment
-Writing utensil (Ink and a quill)
-Textbooks:
---Basic Dark Art Defense
---Creatures of the Dark Arts
I have a few rules. If you follow them you shall exceed and benefit from this class.
-Come to class on time.
-No mucking about during class practice. You could hurt someone.
-Hand in homework when it is due. I will give you a week to turn it in (PM me) unless otherwise specified.
-Bring all your necessary materials.
That won't be a problem now, will it? Any questions? Ask!
For your first assignment:
Write a few things about yourself. This is not a writing class, so do it how you like. It must have at least your name, year and house so I can grade it. All other information is up to you, but at least three additional facts about yourself.
Also gather the above mentioned materials.
Next week we shall learn the two things all wizards must know about defense- blocking and disarming.

A first year in the front row slowly raised her hand. "Professor, how many is a few?" she asked in a very quiet, somewhat shy voice.

"A few things about yourself? That would be three," he answered with a smile. "Does that answer what you were looking for?" he asked.

Hannah looked at the board and rised her hand and replied. ' Sir when we do our homework and pm it you how long will it take for you to reply? She looked back at her teacher face and gave a smile at him.

Nocturne ran in, panting. Her now violet hair was in dissaray as she tried to flatten it, her arms laden with her supplies. She looked around, checking that noone was looking as her hair became short, spiky ,and brown. She gasped as pain ran through her, from the transformation. She quickly sat, sorting her things, "Um.. what do I need to do?" she asked the professor.

Chance slipped into the back and quickly began to write down the assingment. This was pretty much not normal for him since normal was mostly running away from life-death siutations.

Nocturne looked to Kristina, groaning quietly when the girl noticed her metamorphosis. She smiled, hoping that Kristina wouldn't mention it, only few knew.

Josh thought of what to write about himself. He bit on his quill and began to ponder. After a few moments he began to write a few things about himself. After a while, he was finished and read his paper for any mistakes it might've contained.

Charlie slipped in knowing she was definently late. She tapped her her quill to the beat of one of Falling Up's songs, Cascades as soon as she finished writing.

Hannah grabbed a piece of paper and rubbed her quill against her head. "Me, me, me. Muttered Hannah thinking. She didn't want to write anything since she had no parents and she found out three years ago that she was a witch. She sighed under her breath trying her hardest not to get the professor conserned.

Layla gave the professor a large smile. "This seems easy." she picked up her featheres quill and wrote:

She paused writing and thought for a moment "What else?"

Layla stopped writing and squinted. "Hmm.."she thought. "Was it good enough?" she thought again.

Hannah sighed and put her head into her hands. She thought about her sister who was in azcaban who was maybe going to get the kiss from a dememnotor.

Roxy didn't even bother to smile. She felt depressed she didn't know why. She just didn't feel like smiling she felt like being mad...and that's why she was mad. She just looked back her the parchment she was writing on with a fierce glare in her eyes.
