Here a few simple rules you all must follow.
1:Literacy. This is a must and it goes for in and out of character. This means please use normal words(not chatspeak such as lol and gtg) and please use the rules I know you know about the English language. Capitalize the beginning of your sentences, proper nouns, I's, and all that. Use punctuation marks where they belong and all of that stuff. I don't want these forums looking like there is a bunch of seven year-olds all over the place. When posting, there is a spell check button, use it! Spell check it your friend.
2. No Spamming. That means do NOT just write a post that is a few words long or is very annoying. Example posts: "Hi everyone" and "((bye))". Try to keep those kind of posts to a low amount(this goes for posts that are in or out of character).
3. Low Amount of Advertising. You should keep advertisments of other companies or games to a minimum on the boards. Mass PMing or constant advertisements on the boards is considered spamming. If you recieve a pm that you might think is spam, please forward or copy and paste the message into a pm and send it to me. I will consider it and depending on the amount of PM's from that person I get, I will base my punishment.
4: Any use of Unforgivable Curses to any fellow student, teacher, or anyone else that the curse may cause serious damage to is prohibited. Defense is a different situation but I am sure you can defend yourself without using an Unforgivable Curse.
5: Any spells, charms, transfigurations, or anything of that sort that causes severe harm or is dangerous should not be used as a joke, prank, or any other type of humiliation towards another student or teacher.
6: Do not tell anyone else, teacher or student, any of the passwords you know such as common room passwords, teacher's lounge passwords, etc. If you forget any of the passwords then please send me a message and I will refresh your memory. Please do not ask anyone else for a password. Anyone caught asking someone else will be punished. If someone asks you for a password, please send me a message immediately. If you are caught telling someone else a password, you will be punished as well.
7:I have posted the following message in several places and would like all teachers and students alike to try to help me:
Please note, anyone found using the word m*db*o*d ("M" word) will, and I stress, WILL recieve a week of detention. No one is to be under the impression that I will allow such language. This goes for everyone, students and teachers alike. Report anyone using the "M" word to me. Thank you.
If I find any students breaking these rules, the results will vary but action will be taken. Feel free to send me a message if you see anyone breaking these rules or if you have any questions or comments about these rules. Also, these rules may change so it is your responsibility to check back here every so often so you don't accidently break one of them.
